Join the NOTA Board as Training Chair

Are you passionate about safeguarding, professional learning, and making a real difference? The National Organisation for the Treatment of Abuse (NOTA) is looking for a dynamic and committed Training Chair to lead our national strategy.

What’s the Role?

As Training Chair, you’ll be at the forefront of commissioning high-quality, evidence-based training for professionals working to prevent sexual abuse and sexual violence. You’ll lead our training committee, collaborate with experts, and ensure our training is impactful, inclusive, and forward-thinking.

What You’ll Do:

. Lead the development of NOTA’s training programme

. Work with national branches and external partners to expand our reach

. Ensure our training is high quality, trauma-informed, ethical, and evidence-based

Who We’re Looking For:

. A confident leader with experience in training or professional development

. Knowledgeable in practice issues in safeguarding, offender management, harmful sexual behaviour or related fields

. Passionate about preventing abuse and supporting professionals

Why Join Us?

. Planning, organisation and evaluation of events is undertaken by the NOTA team – this role is strategic and requires leadership. The training chair is not required to deliver training themselves.

. Influence national standards in a vital area of public protection

. Join the NOTA board and contribute to strategic leadership of the charity

. Work with a passionate, multidisciplinary team of experts

. Gain valuable leadership experience and expand your professional network

. As with all NOTA board roles, the position is unpaid but reasonable expenses are covered. You will have access to all NOTA training events and conferences at no cost. Expectation is that the role would take 4- 8 hours a month.
