Synopsis
Pete Hornby is the Deputy Director of the Hydrant Programme and has been an integral part of the team since 2018. With a 30-year career in Norfolk Constabulary, Pete brings a wealth of experience to his role.
Before joining Hydrant, Pete served for three decades as a police officer with Norfolk Constabulary, spending the final five years of his career with Operation Hydrant and later the Hydrant Programme.
Throughout his career, Pete has worked across many areas of vulnerability, including adult and child abuse, online abuse, managing registered sex offenders, and the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
He also gained extensive experience in intelligence, serving as an authorising officer and holding qualifications as a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) at PIP 3 level, as well as in kidnap, extortion, and child death investigations.
