The NOTA Journal Club

A platform for NOTA members to engage with and critically discuss recent research on the treatment and prevention of sexual aggression

Welcome to the NOTA Journal Club!

The NOTA journal Club is a new initiative designed to provide a platform for NOTA members to engage with and critically discuss recent research on the treatment and prevention of sexual aggression. The Journal Club focuses on hosting online webinars with authors of recent articles published in JSA.

These online sessions run for 90-minutes. The presenter will lead the webinar by providing a 30-minute presentation on the key findings, methodology, and implications of their research. This will be followed by an informal discussion, and Q&A facilitated by the Session Chair.

These sessions aim to showcase key findings, foster interactive discussions, and explore the implications of research for practice and potential impact on policy and practice:

  • Provide NOTA members with the opportunity to engage directly with authors of recent research articles published in The Journal of Sexual Aggression.
  • Promote critical analysis and informed discussions about the findings, methodology, and practical implications of research related to sexual aggression.
  • Create a space for professional development, where NOTA members can gain new insights and engage with thought leaders in the field of abuse treatment and prevention and share their own reflections on what are other important areas for further attention?
  • Contribute to the global dialogue on reducing sexual aggression and supporting those affected by it.
